Hello Everyone,
My name is NyEma which means pleasure in hebrew, all is well in arabic, blessing in general and my favorite egyptian princess. I am a 23 year old student-athlete who attends Concordia University in Portland, Oregon where I was born and raised. I am majoring in exercise and sports science. My ultimate goal is to be a Division 1 track coach. I have been running track since I was a freshman at Jefferson High School. My specialties are the sprints; 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. I also do both relays although my favorite event is the 200 meters. This brings me to my point of starting this blog. I want to have a history of my journey as I train for the 2016 Olympics. I have many goals that I want to pursue and achieve; which I will be sharing with you as the time passes. I want to show and tell what it is like to be an athlete, how much hard work you have to put in, the ups as well as the downs, training in multiple aspects and environments, healthiness and more. The path that I have chosen to take can be quite lonely and this is why I have decided to share this with everyone. I welcome questions, comments, advice or any other type of positive support.
